Just Announced! The TPTA Annual Conference & Tradeshow Program!

We are thrilled to announce the full schedule and education program for the 2019 TPTA Annual Conference and Tradeshow, April 22-25, 2019 in Houston.

 We have pulled together a diverse agenda of sessions by experts from throughout the parking, transportation, and mobility industries. Deadline for Board nominations is January 6

Want to be more involved? Please consider nominating yourself for a position on the Texas Parking and Transportation Association board of directors. Qualified candidates must:

• Be a regular member

• 2019 dues paid .  

• Each organization may only have one Regular member (all others are associate members and are not eligible)

If you’re interested, please email a letter outlining your qualifications, a high resolution headshot in JPEG format, along with your name, your contact information, and your membership category as defined in TPTA By-Laws, Article VII, Section 1 to Dean Ahmad, Chair, Elections Committee. Applications must be received by January 6, 2019.  

The Election Committee will review all applications; those eligible members will be placed on a ballot and sent to all Regular members for voting.  Ballots will be accepted online following the deadline and voting results will be announced at the 2019 Annual Conference and Tradeshow in Houston, Texas, April 22 - 25, 2019.

Need more time to submit your presentation to TPTA? Wish granted! :)

TPTA sent out an email extending the deadline to submit a presentation to January 19, 2019. So, if you’re still enjoying the holidays (and judging by the out of office replies - a lot of you are!) - go ahead and relax and work on your submission in the new year!

DFW Parking Program Featured in The Parking Professional

We’re always thrilled to see TPTA members recognized for their successes and hard work! Check out this article from the August issue of The Parking Professional about the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Airport Courtesy Patrol Program.

The article titled “Airport Knights” (by Robert Peterson, DFW’s Assistant Manager of Parking Guest Operations), highlights the important work that this team does, focusing each day on creating the best experience possible for parkers at this major airport. To date, the program has helped over 48,000 Dallas travelers, with assistance including tire inflations, jump starts, and vehicle location. Most importantly though, this dedicated team plays a critical role in helping to make the sometimes stressful airport travel experiences as pleasant as possible.

This great program will be especially valuable - and much appreciated - during this busy holiday season!
