Shelley Deats Appointed to Assistant Director

Shelley Deats will join the UTSA Business Auxiliary Services Parking Division on November 2nd as the Assistant Director. She comes to us with 10 years of service in higher education with specific attention to management, customer service, problem-solving and administrative communication.

Prior to joining UTSA, Ms. Deats served as the Manager of Parking and Transportation Services at Baylor University and as Coordinator for Communications and as an Emergency Dispatcher for The University Police Department. She was instrumental in leading a smooth transition of Baylor Parking & Transportation Services to become its own independent operation, which had previously reported to the University Police Department. This transition along with the acquisition of a consultant was a major factor in laying a footprint for a successful Parking & Transportation program.
